Default Vehicle of the month review

The last few months it has been getting harder and harder for me to find fresh active members/vehicles to choose for VOTM. Most of our active members have won the award at least once if not a couple or even several times. I would like to revisit this award and get some feedback on whether to proceed with our current method and keep revolving for the most part the same members or try something new or even drop the award for now.

Please share your thoughts

Thanks

Hey Bob, what about a vehicle of the quarter? Every three months do a new one and then VOTY would be the top 10, or 20, or whatever, active members of the site and voted by the members independent of votq. Just.a thought. I sure would love to see more active people on here.

And since the voting will go on for three months we can probably add a few more vehicles to the ballot. I think this would keep it a little more interesting and guys that don't check in that often could add their vote.

I like the vehicle of the quarter or "season" idea. How about we go back to nominations for this as that will also give more time to gather nominations or give more participation/control to the members .

How does that sound?

Thanks for the input so far

Nominations format sounds good to me Bob. Maybe open nominations a month after the VOTQ is announced, nominations open for 6 weeks and two weeks to vote?

I think we need to have more time for voting. I was thinking for the first VOTQ that Bob can pick 5 different vehicles, after the first winner is announced they can pick the next 5 vehicles for the following VOTQ.

I think the more time the poll is open for voting the more votes will be cast.

Longer the polls are open the better the odds of votership
I like the idea of winner picking the next line up. I think we should have 2 vehicles for each month. so if it is a 3 month span the there should be 6 vehicles or 4 month span then there should be 8 vehicles. Maybe a 30 or 60 day voting period. I think were are headed down the right track

Yeah, the longer voting period is a good idea. I also like that the last winner selects the next nominees
