I raced the truck over the weekend at the NHRDA in Arizona, truck ran well for its first time out ran a 11.4 on the first pass, turned it up a little and lowered the tire pressure some, ran 10.6 at 136MPH.

There where 9 trucks in my class, made it to the final round of elimination but lost the last race, ran a 10.4 at 136MPH.

All an all I got 2nd place I'm happy with how well I did being the trucks first time out and no testing before the race. I got a warning on my second pass for going to fast with no NHRA license, so I'll be working to get that done before my next race in two weeks. I barely made it on getting the roll cage certified two days before a left to the races.

Nice numbers. What kind of cage are you running? Might be interesting to see what that thing would run at Bonneville.

NHRA legal 10 point cage, just got it certified. I don't think it would meet the requirements for Bonneville let alone I don't have the gearing. The lowest gears they make for my axles is 3.42s and that's what I'm running. I would someday like to try a standing 1/2 mile just to see how fast the truck would go.

Damn, that's pretty impressive to need an NHRA License in a 3/4 Ton diesel truck, well done!

I completed half of my NHRA license, had some issues with the motor it leaked water on to the track so my day was over. I pulled the head off think I may have pushed the head gasket but I didn't find anything wrong, put it all back together before the race in Sacramento this past weekend. I only had time for one hot re-torque on the head, I would have like to get a few more before the race.

I placed 2nd again in Super Street at the NHRDA in Sacramento with a best of 10.2 at 137MPH.
In the final round I was staging for the big race and it leaked water again on to the track, the track official back me out and gave the win to the other guy, bummer for me I could have had a win.
Time to tear it apart, I gotta find where this water is coming from.

Going to pull the 6.7 head and have it pressure check, mag and cleaned, In the meantime I'm going to build a 5.9 head just so it matches the block.

Curious where the leak is. Perhaps a porous casting?

It may, its harder to do because the head gasket around the cylinder is not round.

I fire ring one of my engines before and it would leak coolant between the head and block it was a small leak and didn't cause issues when I raced but I didn't like know it was leaking.
