Excuse my ignorance,but why sleeve the cylinders, and reduce the bore ? Bore wall thickness so you can a little more meat so you can step on it a little harder ?

I'm trying something a little different in the hopes it will hold up to the task. The last motor was a 5.9 block .020 over with these steel Monotherm pistons which puts it at 4.036 bore. I believe the block failed do to more pressure on the cylinder walls from the narrow skirt from these pistons, So the thought is to use a 6.7 block standard bore is 4.212 sleeve it down to a 5.9 bore 4.036 thickening the cylinder walls to add more strength to the cylinders.
